Here's for those looking to complete their "Big Five." Trevor Shaw, a long-time Chapter supporter, is donating a Rhino Vita Dart Safari. You will shoot a rhino with a dart loaded with vitamins. The vet will then immobilize the rhino.

This donation includes the following:

Accommodations, meals and laundry service for 2 people for a 3-night stay
Two days allocated to the dart hunt, if required
Use of a dart gun with 2x Vita darts
Services of qualified Vet and all necessary equipment, immobilizing and recovery drugs
Services of a helicopter for monitoring and locating the Rhino after it has been immobilized
Services of field staff and qualified PH to assist the client with locating a particular rhino for vita darting
Insurance for Rhino in case of fatalities to the animal

Clients can take part and assist the vet in the micro-chipping, DNA sampling, and ear notching procedures. Photos can be taken of the client posing with the rhino while the animal is under sedation and measurement of horns will be taken. Safari is valid for 2018 or 2019 only. Airport transfers from either Durban or Richards Bay are available but not included. Funds generated from this procedure go towards our rhino anti-poaching and protection projects. The winning bidder can also book a plains game hunting safari with Mark DeWet Safaris of South Africa.
