Market Value: $3,500 USD
Dates: November 15 to December 15, 2014
Duration: 5 days
Departure Point: Kamloops, BC
Located just outside of Kamloops, BC, Bearcat Outfitters’ area is abundant with big cats and guide outfitter Neil Findlay is dedicated to providing a quality cat-hunting adventure. These hunts are 2:1— that’s two guides per hunter, as one is needed to help manage to dogs. Success on bobcat is almost a certainty as long as there is a bit of fresh snow to work with. For smaller cats, having some fresh snow is important because they leave less sign than bigger cats. Bobcats harvested in this area in the past have weighed up to 40 pounds. Lynx are very crafty and the most difficult of the Canadian cats to harvest.
The trophy fee for your first cat is included, and the trophy fee for your second harvested cat is $2,000 USD. If you’d like to go for a “cat trick”—lynx, bobcat, and cougar—you can also add a cougar for a trophy fee for $4,000 USD. This trip can also be upgraded to include other species on special arrangement with Neil Findlay.
Licences, tags, royalties, CITES, and HPF are not included. Additional hunters can come for market value, and non-hunters can enjoy the thrill of the pursuit for $750 USD. Field prep of the trophy is not included. Meat and trophies will be transported to the local taxidermist for processing. Accommodations will be one of Bearcat Outfitters’ cabins. Meals will be provided for you.
