Boy's Flintlock Kentucky Rifle
Kentucky flintlock rifle similar to rifles made in the Lehigh, Pennsylvania area, circa 1820. Rifle measures 44-1/2" overall with a 30" octagon smoothbore barrel in 50 caliber with hunting sights and no markings. Replaced reproduction lock with no touch hole (CAN NOT BE FIRED) with single trigger control. Full curly maple stock with brass hardware including two piece patchbox. Comes with replaced hardwood rod. CALIBER: 50. FFL STATUS: Antique.
CONDITION
Excellent as restored. Metal has original plum patina with surface corrosion. Lock is new replacement. Wood has been cleaned with repaired forestock cracks. Sideplate is a new replacement. Gun has been restored as a display piece and needs more work to be fireable.
