This varied group includes 1 original oval SNY belt buckle with spade hooks. / 1 Quarter plate tintype of a standing Union enlisted man with all accoutrements and holding a musket in his right hand. Fanciful backdrop is of a castle scene. Gilded brass mat & frame. / 1 Excavated lightweight 2-piece sash buckle with an eagle on the center disc. / 1 Civil War token. / 1 CDV of a Naval Officer signed on the reverse “Compliments of Franklin Grant U.S. Navy”. / 2 Circa 1900 Naval buckles. / 2 Excavated Navy style buttons. / 12 Reproduction Civil War & earlier belt buckles, including Mississippi sword belt plate, Mississippi oval, Georgia oval, 2-piece Kentucky, circa 1820 New York, 2-piece CS on eagle, 2-piece AVC, 2-piece CN, 2-piece beveled star, 2-piece CS, National Guard clipped corner, and 2-piece snake buckle. CONDITION: SNY has a dark patina. Tintype has oxidation to the face, but remains substantially clear. CDV is a bit faded. Reproduction buckles have varying degrees of false patina.
