HOLSTER. Cal. 41 Colt. S# 256939. Bbl. 6". New Army double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1906. Left side of the bbl. is marked "COLT. D.A. 41", with Colt's mfg. and patent information marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt logo New Army brown hard rubber grips. Right grip panel has had a section carved out and filled in with a compass. Half-moon blade front sight, with frame notched rear sight. Matching assembly # "1022" is present on the frame, cyl. crane, and cyl. latch. CUNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: vintage brown leather holster marked "706" on the rear of the belt loop. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original factory blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a mottled gray patina, with light to mild surface oxidation and pitting present overall. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of mild to moderate pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing smoothing and a few superficial handing marks, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting age related cracking and crazing overall.
