This rifle was made for Larry Higgins, past President of SCI and a long-time member of the Michigan Chapter, several years ago by Clyde Moore who lives right here in Michigan. Clyde is a well-known gunsmith who has built rifles over the years for many folks including multiple PH’s from Africa, most notably the Finn Aggard.
The rifle is based on a Mauser action mated to a 24-inch Douglas Supreme barrel which were blue printed. It has a Timney trigger, detachable Tally scope rings and includes a 2 ½ x 10 Leopold VX 3 scope. The stock was built by Clyde and is made of black walnut, beautifully hand checkered and topped off with an Ebony forearm tip and pistol grip cap. The butt stock has a Pachmeyer decelerator recoil pad. The 330 Dakota Caliber is a “souped up” version of the 338 Winchester, providing more velocity and energy. Larry has developed a couple of different loads for it over the years and have found it to shoot with excellent accuracy.
On-line bidder, if winner, is responsible for all packing, shipping, and handling costs to destination of choice. Cost will be added to the invoice. Firearms need to be sent and processed through a Federally approved firearms dealer.
Thank you Larry Higgins for this 100% donation!
