Canada is known as the destination for hunting black bears due to the high concentration of bears. It is not unusual to see up to 10 bears in one evening sit. This hunt is for one hunter and includes the opportunity to harvest two bears and you can choose between spring or fall. Dates available for 2025. Spring week of May 18th-24. Fall hunt August 31st - September 6. 2026 is also available if needed and dates must be arranged by the outfitter upon purchase. The hunts take place out of modern tree stands over baits or in ground blinds. Baits are tended to daily to provide maximum activity at all bait sites. Fall Hunts offer the opportunity to stalk bears on corn fields. Method of harvest is also your choice of bow, rifle, shotgun or muzzleloader. Included is all meals and lodging for 5-days and 6-nights, arriving on Sunday and departing on Saturday. All paperwork for border crossing is included and if you tag out early they offer self-guided smallmouth bass & trout fishing at no extra charge. All hunters are given satellite communicators where needed and ATV usage for the hunt. Infield trophy care is also included. Starlink Wifi access onsite-. We have 5 camps onsite, each camp sleeps 6-8 people allowing for a more private experience. Each camp has wood and gas heat, hot showers, fridge, lights, power outlets, indoor washroom (toilet and sink), all necessary bedding, a large gazebo with an outdoor fire pit and grill. Cookhouse seats up to 24 people with 3 meals per day and snacks available as well.
Not included: skinning, meat processing and taxidermy. Skinning can be provided for $100 usd. Meat processing done locally and typically without delay. Taxidermy can be accommodated in Maine, bug repellent (Thermacell) etc. Transportation to and from Bangor or Fredericton Airport can be arranged for additional fee depending on number of guests.

Any bid made at a NWTF auction, whether in person at a live auction, by phone, or online, constitutes an unconditional offer to buy the item in question at the price bid. Unless a higher and subsequent bid is made, your bid creates a binding contract of purchase, obligates you to sign the bid ticket or, in the case of a phone or online bid, authorizes the person who took the bid to sign on your behalf AND requires that the bid amount be paid prior to the close of the auction. In the event that the successful bid was made by phone or online, the bid price must be received before the close of the sixth business day after the close of the auction. Payments can be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If the winner of an auction refuses to pay the winning bid price plus any premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid. If the next highest bidder declines the item or if the second highest bidder is unknown, the NWTF shall dispose of the item at our discretion.
ONLINE BIDDING/PERMIT BUYERS: A 5% buyer’s premium with a $250 cap will be added to the final bid price of all lots (unless prohibited by statute). Proceeds will be dedicated to NWTF Conservation initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.
You will also be asked to provide the following information: Full Name, Email address, Address, Phone number, Credit card number, on which an AVS is completed (Address Verification System) All purchases over the amount of $50,000 will require a call back from NWTF Auction Team for verification.
PAYING WITH CREDIT CARDS: PAYING BY CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL 3% ADMINISTRATION FEE If item does not get to reserve then the highest bidder will be offered the option to buy it at reserve price.
FIREARMS: Before taking possession of your purchased firearm, the gun must be registered in compliance with all federal, state, and local firearms laws. To meet this compliance, NWTF will ship the firearm, at the expense of the purchaser, from our FFL, Edgefield, SC 29824 to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder of your choice after convention if the buyer is not present at the convention.
NWTF AUCTION ITEM POLICY:
All goods in the live auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired or obtained from third parties. The purchaser acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by NWTF, and is advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets, or other weapons to obtain a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. The goods sold in the live auctions are sold ‘’AS IS” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of NWTF. NWTF provides no warranties of fitness and expressly disclaims the same. NWTF does not accept any liability or responsibility for any product, design, or use. Any written warranties on the goods delivered to the high bidder are those solely of the manufactures, and/or their agents, and shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the manufacturer.
All services, hunts, or otherwise, in the live auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired for and are to be furnished by third parties and contain the same reservation set forth under “goods” above. No services in the live auction are to be or will be performed by NWTF. NWTF shall bear no responsibilities for the delivery or quality of any of the services, or for any loss or damages arising from or related to or connected with the performance or non-performance of such services. The purchaser also acknowledges that in the event that services are purchased, NWTF cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest or instability that may occur outside the United States. NWTF cannot be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from. NWTF reserves the right to add items to the auctions as additional donations become available. Only NWTF exhibitors may solicit and/ or market to permit buyers.
AUCTION ITEM SCHEDULE/ The online auction will end at approximately 2000 hours central time on Friday, Feb 14, 2024. The online auction will be posted approximately two weeks prior to that ending date.
PAYMENT/PICK-UP
Buyers who purchase items through the Online Hunting Auctions website will immediately be charged for their items on their registered credit cards. Buyers may contact Jason Tarwater at (785) 221-6515 and make alternate arrangements for payment within 10 days prior to the online auction and within 6 days after the online auction concludes. Once this payment is received, the original credit card payment will be voided.
