Cape Buffalo Bronze by Artist Ryan Wilhite
Ryan Wilhite has been sculpting and drawing since he was a young boy. He spent seven years of his childhood in Kenya, East Africa. It was there where he was able to observe the animals he would turn into pieces of art. Ryan also has expanded his work to include figurative sculpture and portraits in both bronze and ceramic. An avid traveler and outdoorsman, Ryan has taken many trips abroad including numerous African safaris.

This bronze has been graciously donated by Marcus Cady on behalf of his father’s estate, Robert Marcus Cady 1942—2023.

For 55 years, Robert maintained a private practice in Dallas, assisting numerous clients with a variety of legal needs. But Robert was much more than a successful lawyer. He was a larger-than-life figure who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His contagious energy and charisma drew people to him. Robert's impeccable fashion sense was legendary, and he was always impeccably dressed from J. R. Ewing style (we don't know who copied whom) to colorful Versace suits he wore with confidence in and out of court. He definitely had "game"

Despite his busy legal career, Robert made time for his other passions, such as hunting, golf, and travel. He traveled to five continents, where he indulged in his love of the great outdoors and hunting wild game. Although he did travel extensively, His true passion was chasing Bobwhite Quail throughout Texas.

Robert had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor that made him the life of the party, and he had a generous spirit that endeared him to people from all walks of life. He leaves behind many friends scattered around the world. His bigger-than-life personality and willingness to help others won't soon be forgotten. Chances are if you ever came to "The Casa" his house he designed specifically to showcase his sporting artwork and taxidermy collections. He also probably gave you a nickname and that was the way you were known to many within his circle.

Although we mourn the loss of this larger-than-life man, but we also celebrate his incredible journey through life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure that will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace Robert, You have been deeply missed.
