J.P. Clabrough highest grade gold inlaid double BBL exposed hammer shotgun illustrated on pages 114 and 115 of Larry Shelton's book on this maker and from his collection consigned by his estate. 10GA, 28" BBL, 2-3/4" chambers, 8 pounds (about), made 1876. Cased with many accessories. 44-1/4" overall with fancy checkered stocks and Prince of Wales style grip. Author states "as good as any London Gun" and this gun shows finest quality and gold inlay, condition is near fine with minor storage marks and slight loss of finish and handling. About a 9 on 1-10 grading scale. It would be hard improve on quality and grade of this classic bicentennial era gun for less than $10,000 retail
