11& #34; clip point forged blade with 5.5& #34; false edge, 1.5& #34; wide at forte. Coffin-head style pommel, black walnut grip scales reinforced with brass liners held by iron pins. German silver guardless guard and German silver escutcheon in the center of left grip panel.
**The blade is very good with some nicks along the sharp edge. Some light staining. The layers of the forged steel are visible. The handle is excellent with some light nicks and dings. Overall this is an excellent example of a early guardless Bowie Knife. This could be an example of James Black& #39;s work.
