A Jappaned tin case of Colonel Nelson Miles with white cock feathers which were worn on his 1875 dress cap, painted tin case with red highlights and stenciling reading Colonel Nelson A. Miles 5th Infantry U.S. Army, cock feathers with large tulip plume in which was modified from the 1872 pattern mounted helmet. Tin Case ht. 10 , dia. 4.75 & amp; feathers measure 9 inches.
Overall in good condition. Expected paint loss and dents to the case with age and use. Case with original paint, letter stenciling with overpaint.
