Single action cap and ball black powder percussion revolver, manufactured circa 1863. 8" barrel, blade front sight, "V" notch rear sight on hammer nose, 6 shot unfluted rebated cylinder, round brass triggerguard, steel back strap, one piece smooth walnut grip. Bore is poor to fair, visible rifling, light rust throughout. Charge holes show slightly rough texture. Metal surfaces show mottled dark grays and lighter bare metal tones, tiny pits throughout, appears lightly cleaned at some point in the past. Numbers match on frame, barrel, straps. Faint "380" and partial patent date on cylinder, cylinder scene absent. Barrel a bit loose to frame. Some screws appear to be replacements. Action sound with good lock-up. Grips are good, eroded at points of toe & heel, good fit to frame.
