Colt 1st Generation SAA revolver in .45 LC caliber with a 5 ½” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber grips, S/N 356527. Copy of factory letter states; “Mfg on Aug. 22, 1938 and sent to shipping roomSept. 20, 1938” with no other info as records lost. The single action remains in original excellent condition showing 97%-99% original bright blue with only a slight loss at the left edge of the muzzle and a very faintindex line on the cylinder. The case hardening is vibrant and colorful and 90%-95% with just a little loss of color and brilliance almost mint also. The grips are very good plus to fine with minor storagenicks at the bottom left edge and butt. Bright polish on the hammer. Only slight use and age. A 9.5 on a 1-10 scale.
