Colt .38 caliber rimfire revolver with 3 ½” round barrel and 1871-72 patent dates, S/N 315538 made in its own serial number range with left over percussion parts in the early frontier era. The barrel and cylinder retain 90%-95% original bluestarting to tone on the cylinder and mirror bright on the barrel. The cylinder retains virtually all the scene just slightly light. The frame and hammer show 90%-95% vibrant and fiery case colors that are still vivid. The grips show 90%-95%original varnish with minor edge wear and a few minor scratches. All matching serial number and sharp and crisp overall. A strong 9.5 on a 1-10 scale. (Antique) Est.: $3,000-$6,000
