Colt Bisley Flat Top Target Revolver, .44 S&W, 7 ½” barrel, blue finish, checkered hard rubber grips, S/N 195478. This revolver remains in very good condition showing approximately 50%-60% original blue remaining with the balance going toa grey patina along with pinprick pitting and erosion on the frame. The screw heads haven’t been buggered and show traces of niter blue. The grips remain in very good condition with wear to the checkering from normal use. The marking are sharp, the action is crisp with tight lock up and the bore is good with pitting. Accompanied by a factory letter confirming all features except stocks not listed and caliber is listed as .44 Russian, shipped to Simmons Hardware Co., StLouis, Missouri (H.E. Griffman), July 20, 1900, 1 gun in shipment. Only 976 Bisley Targets were manufactured of which only 64 were in this caliber. (C&R/PPT) Est.: $6,000-$12,000
