Colt Detective Special revolver, .38 Special caliber, Serial #247752. The pistol is in very good overall condition with a 2” barrel. The pistol retains the majority of the original blue finish with wear at the muzzleand on the cylinder. The pistol features a bobbed hammer for concealment. The front sight has had red finger nail polish added to accentuate it. The checkered medallion grips are in good condition with some mildflattening of the checkering and small mars from carry and use. According to the serial number the pistol was manufactured in 1922. The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp. This is a nice, earlyDetective Special from the Gil Newton Collection. Est.: $400-$800. (C+R).
