Colt Model 1851 Navy 3rd Model with small trigger guard, S/N 31453. This revolver shows 30%-50% original thinning and drifting bright blue on the barrel. Good address with crisp edges. The cylinder shows 50%-60% plusscene getting light with Ornsby signature and engagement dates visible under magnification. The cylinder shows traces of blue in a natural patina. The frame shows 30%-50% darkened silver on straps. Good tovery good grips with 50%-60% original varnish with some small imperfections and a dent or two. all matching visible serial numbers and bright blue on the bottom of the barrel and on the lever where protected. A strong 7.5 to 8 on a 1-10 scale for a California gold rush era navy. (Antique) Est.: $2000-$4000
