period inscribed “Bob Stack” on the right side, S/N 357398 showing a 6” factory marked “Heavy Barrel” with flat top frame, target sights, checkered wood grips, custom hammer and timed and tuned action. 80%-90% overall original finish with some minor scratches and mars consistent with shooting and use. Very good plus overall. This particular revolver was Robert Stacks favorite 0.38 and used by him for decades in shooting competitions. The actor’s estate was sold a decade ago by Little Johns and this Colt was part of the collection consigned by Mr. Stack’s widow and now re-consigned. Robert stack was best remembered for his iconic role as Elliot Ness in the hit 1950’s television series, “The Untouchables”. His career in movie and television spanned over 50 years and his narration of “Unsolved Mysteries” was stellar.
