Colt SAA revolver, .45 caliber, 7.5” barrel, blued and case hardened finish, wood grips, S/N 44400, in overall good to very good condition displaying a grey and brown patina to metal surfaces with some spots of erosion, some restoration has been done on the cylinder, bore should clean to good, good action and markings, very good grips. Accompanied by a Colt factory letter confirming caliber and finish; barrel lengthand type of stocks “Not Listed” but mentioned in the “Remarks” section that 7.5” was standard for the barrel and walnut stocks standard for the grips at the indicated time period (April 8, 1880 shipment to SimmonsHardware Co., St. Louis, Missouri); fifty guns in shipment.
