Colt Single Action Army U.S. Marked, SN: 131383 with arsenal full blue finish for issue to state Militia units during the Spanish American War era. The pistol is inspected by R.A.C. and sub inspected by “K”. The left grips shows fainttraces of cartouche and “89” numerals of date. The back strap and trigger guard are SN: 131359. The cylinder is 1359. The barrel is 1383 and shows two “P” inspection marks. The ejector rod housing, rod and spring are correct black powder militaryissue as is the case hardened hammer. The cylinder pin is a replacement. The grips fit impeccably and are original. The revolver shows 80%-90% arsenal blue applied at the time of reissue with drifting on the cylinder and edges, slight indexline, and minor loss at high points. The blue shows correct military polish or feathering around the front sight. The hammer shows 75% plus case colors and the bore is bright as interior shows little wear and almost no use. From a localcollectors estate who is in a nursing and never got a Kopec letter. Possibly New York Militia or rough riders by the range. (Antique) Est.: $4,000-$8,000
