Colt factory restored WW1 U.S. Military large frame double-action service revolver chambered in .45 Automatic, manufactured in Hartford, CT in 1919. Features a royal blued refinish,sides of hammer polished, 5.5" round tapered barrel, blade front sight,"u" notched rear sight, fluted six-shot swing-out cylinder, non-shrouded ejector rod, smooth trigger, checkered hammer spur, steel frame with lanyard ring on the butt, and checkered wood grips. Markings: Frame - "N" “U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917" on heel, Barrel - "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", "COLT'S PT FA. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT U.S.A./PATD AUG 5.1884 JUNE 5 1900 JULY 4 1905", "COLT D.A.45". Matching serial numbers on frame and crane. Assembly number "2646" is matched on the frame, crane, barrel and under the cylinder star. Do to the refinish the address is feint, no Rampant Colt visible and no number on the heel visible. Revolver retains approximately 99% of its blued refinish with slight tracking on the cylinder. Action is sound with a tight lock-up, the bore is overall very good/bright with some very light pitting near the muzzle. The grips are very good. The revolver comes with a Colt invoice dated 2002 where it states they refinished the gun in royal blue, added the grips and repaired the bent front sight.
