.50-70 caliber, 31.125" barrel, NSN. Converted to a sporting-style rifle by Richard Wetnight of Surprise, Arizona using a Springfield 1866 rifle in imitation of General George Custer's personal sporting rifle. Dovetailed German silver front sight with folding leaf rear sight. Breechblock marked "1866/[eagle]" with barrel showing "94L0". Iron triggerguard with double-set triggers. Checkered wrist with aluminum forend tip. **Very good condition overall. Barrel has an even dark finish with some scattered light oxidation. Some handling marks and blemishes to stocks, which appears to have been lightly sanded. Bore is bright.** $2,000-$3,000
