Late 18th to early 19th century trade gun converted from flintlock to percussion with desirable brass serpentine style sideplate. Approximately 54.5" overall with 39.5" barrel, approximately 20 gauge. Full stocked to muzzle. No name or proofs. Plain brass mounts other than side plate. Simple light engraving on the lock. False stripping burnt into stock. Conversion is utilizing hand made in forge hammer and looks "frontier'. Uncleaned condition with working action. No ramrod. Some small breaks and losses in forend that are minor. Just the type traded in Fur Trade Era to American Native Indians who favored the serpentine sideplate as a sign of quality and power.
Antique Firearm
Note - Scorch marks from many camp fires near inside of butt.
