Mozambique’s famed Zambezi delta region is known for its unique tropical hunting environment. Mahimba Safaris hunting area, located on the northern perimeter of the delta, is a prime area made of lush coastal forests, dense riverine vegetation, palm savanna, pans and papyrus swamps. This unique area offers the discerning hunter a true hunting experience, very different from other areas in the country. Crocodile are hunted by boat while traversing the Macarau River. This tidal river is home to hundreds of crocodiles which come out to bask during low tide. This donation includes 4 hunting days for 2 hunters for 2 Crocodile (under 13’) and 2 Bushpig; all accommodations; services of a professional hunter, trackers & camp staff; all meals & beverages; trophy field preparation. This exclusive safari is available for scheduling August through September 2025 or 2026 (per available dates). This hunt may also be upgraded to 10+ days to include Cape Buffalo and other game species (Roosevelt Sable, Common Waterbuck, Common Reedbuck, Chobe Bushbuck, Warthog, etc); standard daily rates and trophy fees apply. Hunters are responsible for hunting license ($350), firearms permits ($250 each), firearm rental and ammunition (if requested), professional filming (P.O.R.), hotel accommodation before & after the hunt (if required), air charter from Beira to/from Mahimba Camp ± $3,750 per plane (round-trip), gratuities to staff and export of trophies to the hunters’ final destination. Accommodations are located under the shade of towering palm trees overlooking an expansive floodplain—a true oasis in the middle of Mozambique's vast wilderness.
