This huge lot of riot/crowd control 12 ga shells for training and sales samples are from the Jim Geibel collection. 1) (3 Total) 12-gauge riot control shotshell Type Designator/Model: EAS-201 ELAST-A-SLUG Cal./Size: ¾-inch in diameter and 2 ½-inches long. Color: Red. Manufacturer: North American Ordnance Corp., Pontiac MI. Country of Origin: United States. Trainer? Maybe? Possibly live rounds
The (3) red plastic bodies has no markings on it. The crimped white wad has “the company logo; ELAST-A-SLUG; EAS-201” printed in black. The headstamp is “12 GA; MADE IN U S A; and a flying duck”. These may be live shells. 2) 12-gauge shotshell Super Sock riot control dummy loading. Type Designator/Model: 2581 Super Sock Cal./Size: ¾-inch in diameter and 2 ½-inches long. Color: Clear plastic with black markings Manufacturer: Combined Tactical Systems, Jamestown, PA, United States Trainer: Yes. A standard 12 gauge shotshell size that is loaded with a Kevlar bag filled with 40 grams of #9 shot. There is no primer present. The forward end of the shotshell is black. Stenciled on the side of the shell is “2581; SUPER-SOCKTM; PATENT PENDING; the CTS LOGO; U.S.A.”. There are also two broken black lines around the body. Normally there would be a tear agent in the projectile. There is no primer present. The forward end of the shotshell is recessed and black. Stenciled on the side of the shell is “2300; INERT; LIQUID BARRICADE the CTS LOGO; U.S.A.”. There are also two broken black lines around the body. The headstamp is “CTS 12 CTS 12”. There is a paper label with the word “DUMMY” on it on the brass head. 5) 4 pack. 12-gauge barricade penetration shotshell. Type Designator/Model: Forced Entry Cal./Size: ¾-inch in diameter and 2 ½-inches long. Color: Red with black markings Manufacturer: Unknown United States. Trainer: No, we think they are live rounds. A complete package of four shotshells. The red plastic bodied shotshell has a rosette crimp and no metal base. Genco produced the case, but apparently this is a hand loading in a GENCO case. What is in the case is unknown. Stenciled on the case is “GENCO”. Hand written on the case is “Forced Entry”. The headstamp cast into the plastic is “12.ACTIV.12.ACTIV”. LIVE SHELLS! 6) Very short shotgun shell. Model: No. 455 ? Cal./Size: 12 ga; ¾-inch in diameter and 1 ?-inches long. Color: Red, white and brass. Manufacturer: Western Cartridge Company made the case. Origin: United States. Trainer: No. Cutaway: No. Long Description: Red cardboard body with a brass head. Printed very faint on the side of the case is “#455”. Roll crimped end with a white wad. The headstamp is “WESTERN; MADE IN USA; NO 12; XPERT”. 7) 2 shell set- Short green shotgun shell. Type Designator/Model: RB-100 Cal./Size: 12 ga.; ¾-inch in diameter and 2 ½-inches long. Color: Green and brass with black markings. Manufacturer: Remington Peters Cartridge Company made the case. Country of Origin: United States. Trainer: No. Green plastic body with a brass washed steel base. Printed on the side is “RB- 100”. The case is closed with a star burst crimp. The headstamp is “REMINGTON 12 GA PETERS”.
This grouping has a complete shell, an uncrimped shell with nine ?-inch diameter rubber pellets and
a rubber stamp saying “RB-100”.
