We want hunters and outfitters to have a positive experience.

Expectations of hunters:

1) Bring another hunter and extend the hunt if feasible

2) Hunt from the outfitter's price list after harvesting donated trophies if additional game are
available and tip generously

Donations may not be sold, transferred, or combined on one trip with another hunt unless outfitters and chapter agree prior to auction.
Exhibitor Michaela Worley is a Wyoming metal artist who traveled to our banquet again this year and is offering a custom elephant safari piece. Stop by her booth to see what she has to offer.

This safari piece is made from all metal. The base is fresh/new metal 3/4" thick and is custom cut and a one-of-a-kind-piece on its own.

Michaela described the crafting process in this way: “The elephants and savanna tree are cut out of used disks off farm equipment that has been rusted and well used. This gives it some extra character and color after the process of cleaning the rust off enough to have a smooth surface to draw on and hand cut with a plasma cutter. Once the image has been cut out it's time to clean up the metal from the paint of drawing the custom design on and the melted metal off the back. Once it's mostly shining it's time to weld it all together and bring some more details to life, like the water reflection of the elephants and leaves or branches in the tree. Also the feathers in the bird about to land on the tree. I decided I wanted a family of elephants just to do something different. The safari tree is probably my favorite part of this piece due to the "secret objects " I hid in it. See if you can't find all 4! The more I drew out this design the more ideas came to me. It's a good challenge to try to top the logo I did last year.”

Good taxidermy opens the door for the hunter to tell a story of adventure. Similarly, this custom art piece will require attention from those who admire wildlife and beautiful work so the new owner can describe the materials, process, and hidden aspects to this one-of-a-kind-piece. What a great addition to a trophy collection. There will never be another. Thank you to Michaela for this terrific piece of art.
