Internet Info: The Czechoslovakian M53 helmet (Czech: Prilba vz. 53) was used by the Czechoslovak Army from the early 1950s onward. In western European countries and the United States, it is sometimes referred to as the Czech M53 helmet. These helmets are commonly mistaken for, and sometimes marketed as, Soviet SSh-40 helmets, and various other very similar Eastern Bloc helmets. There is three high rivets as seen in pictures, there is the leather liner and strap, there is the crossing swords with 53 stamped, (this is the seal of approval stamp) there is a 1 below the 53 indicating size of the helmet, there is also the 8 8 imprint on the interior of the helmet as well as the stamp 1-01 Please refer to pictures when making your own determination of helmet, we are not war helmet experts.
