FRANK DANFORD FROM ALASKA’S D & L OUTFITTERS AND JERRY HEDRICH FROM WOLVERINE OUTFITTER ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO OFFER THIS INCREDIBLE HUNT.

Our hunts take place in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge where we have an exclusive area, no other outfitters are allowed!
Your guided hunts in Alaska are individually designed around you with special attention to your comfort and personal preferences.
Your comfort is a priority – top of the line equipment is packed in to camp, including a real latrine and HOT shower!!
Your favorite gourmet foods are expertly prepared to satisfy after a great day of adventure!
We offer a variety of guided hunts in Alaska, including bear, goat, sheep, and moose.
Some are based from the cabin and others are tent based. Depends on location and species.
Safety is our biggest factor. We have satellite phones and in reach to make sure if we need help for any unforeseen reason, we have the ability to reach out and get it.
Also, we give you the location parameters for you to share with your loved ones in case there are any issues.

BROWN BEAR HUNT
Kenai National Wildlife Refuge has the coastal Brown Bears.
Some of these bears are quite large as they eat fish. They have an endless supply of food, so they pack it in before winter, making them some of the largest of bears.
Our exclusive areas have salmon-filled streams and berries on the mountains to finish their fall feeding.
Our hunts are ten days long, which gives us an advantage of time.
The weather can be very unpredictable, from pouring rain, heavy fog, and snow to, yes, even sunshine.
Whatever it is, we are in it. Make sure you’re in good physical condition.
You should plan on hiking to get to glassing areas and carrying your daypack as we go.
This is a pure spot and stalk-style hunt.
Our camps are tent-based and able to relocate as needed.
In the spring we catch them on the beaches and chasing sows as they emerge from the dens.
There are some federal cabins that may be available but not something we like to count on.
These bears are big, and fish-fed.
They tend to move to and with the fish as the season progresses.
We do offer packers to help lighten the load.
A professional videographer/photographer is available upon request.

BLACK BEAR HUNT
Much like the Brown Bear, this hunt is similar.
We see more bears on the mountainsides eating roots, plants, and berries.
Occasionally, they will, too, be on the salmon in the streams.
Our black bear hunts are 7-day one-on-one guided hunts. This gives us an advantage of time.
Weather can be very unpredictable, from pouring rain, heavy fog, and snow, to, yes, even sunshine.

ABOUT WOLVERINE OUTFITTER
Our family had the outdoors instilled at a young age while growing up as kids.
This helped us identify the true meaning of the outdoors.
Wolverine Outfitters’ passion is to be one with nature and to get the true feel of being close to the wildlife.
Like many dedicated hunters, I love the experience and excitement of getting in close.
It is a great experience and the closer I get, the more my heart beats…it is an addiction! And I like it close.
With my wife’s support, we have been able to enjoy hunting while raising three sons who also enjoy it.
I have been a licensed guide in Alaska since 2008.
We have led a number of hunts in Alaska over the years.
I have also had the privilege of hunting in Canada and the lower 48 states.
There is nothing like experiencing nature and what it has to offer. What’s there not to like, its hunting which is all outdoors.
Also, I need to thank my parents. They are the ones who instilled in me a deep appreciation of the outdoors, which has been a gift and a blessing.
