SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 455. S# 177. Bbl. 5". Mark I Navy semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Webley & Scott under contract for the Royal Navy. The left side of the slide is marked with the Webley & Scott winged bullet logo above "W&S", followed by "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD/ PISTOL SELF-LOADING 455 MARK I N/ 1913". Frame, slide, and chamber exhibit numerous British military proofs. Top of the slide is stamped "3" over the chamber area. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black Vulcanite grips. Interior of each grip panel is inscribed "W18". Blade front sight with adj. U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, grip safety, slide, and bbl. MAGS: One 7-rd. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, as well as scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild oxidation, with a concentrated spot of pitting present towards the center of the bbl. Grips show scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with several repaired cracks present overall. (24-6883/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-2,000.
