Gloster Commdg Co “C” Eng Troops Capt”. The document states, “You will have your company in readiness to march tomorrow morning 11th Inst at 4 o’clock am”. The document is signed, “By Order of H N Pharr Capt Comm’d 3rd Regt Eng”.
2) This document measures 5" x 8" & is on white lined paper. The document is titled, “Engineer Office AT Aug 13 1864”. The document is addressed, “Capt A.W. Gloster Commdg Co “C” Eng Troops Captain”. The document states, “You will order your company in charge of Gen. Lt to report at once to me at Hd Qt Eng Troops at East Point. If necessary you can retain a Sergt and ten men with you.”. 4) This document measures 5" x 8" & is on gray paper. The document is titled, “Engineer Head Quarters Army of Tennessee August 26th, 1864”. The document states, “Special Order No 14” & the order relieves Captain Gloster of duty & orders him to report to Lt. Col. S.W. Presstman for duty with his company. He was instructed to turn over his command to Capt E Winston.” The document is signed, “By Command of Major General M.L. Smith, Chf Eng”.

The document reads, “You will please order one man with gun, accoutrements, blanket, rations and the necessary cooking utensils to report at these Hd Qtrs for temporary guard duty at Hd Qtrs of Lt Col Frobel.”. Genl Hood desires that it be done tonight or as soon as possible. I am moving from this place to Moore’s via Grubels Hill and Hutchinson Line.”. The inspector will look for correct morning reports, reports on all commissioned officers present & absent, personal baggage of each commissioned officer, a report on arms & accoutrements, a report on horses, clothing, garrison equipage & field transportation. Gloster Comdg Co C Eng Troops Capt”. The document reads, “You will proceed at once to repair to bridge over Cedar Creek, between this point and Phillips Ferry, and report to me its completion”. The document is signed, “Respectfully J.W. Green, Maj Commd’g”. CONDITION: paper is generally in solid condition. There are no notable tears in the documents.
