PISTOL, WITH POLISHED SAFETY. Cal. 30 Luger. S# 32123. Bbl. 4 3/4". Model 1906 American Eagle Luger mfg. in Germany by DWM for commercial sales within the USA. Top of the bbl. extension is marked with the Great Seal of the United States, with the intertwined "DWM" monogram marked on the toggle. Front of the frame is marked "GERMANY" below the S#. Metal components exhibit an older reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the takedown lever, trigger, safety lever, and ejector, which exhibit a straw finish. Frame exhibits a polished safety area. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Frame grip screw threads have been recut. Dovetailed blade front sight, with fixed V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, sideplate, trigger, bbl., and breechblock. Takedown lever, grip safety, bbl. extension, trigger bar, toggle links, and grips have been renumbered to match. MAGS: 1 non-matching blued mag. with wood bottom. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, with spots and areas of light to mild surface oxidation present overall. Interior of mag. well exhibits heavy striations from prior cleaning. Straw parts show varying degrees of wear, with scattered spots of age related discoloration present overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing and scattered marks from handling and storage, with the left grip exhibiting some mild marring, as well as a chip in the top right corner of the panel. (25-552/MLW).
