EARLY RUGER 10/22 SPORTER SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE.
Cal. 22 LR. S# 158626. Bbl. 18 1/2". Model 10/22 Sporter semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Ruger in 1968. Top of the bbl. is marked "STURM, RUGER & CO., INC./ SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A.". Left side of the receiver is marked with the S#, followed by "RUGER", "MODEL 10/22 CARBINE/ .22 L.R. CALIBER", and the Ruger logo. Aluminum receiver exhibits a blue anodized finish, with the steel bbl. exhibiting a standard blue finish. Early, unfinished trigger guard. Wood Sporter stock with pistol grip, Monte Carlo comb, and finger grooves on forend. Brass-beaded blade front sight with flip-up U-notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 10-rd. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory finishes overall, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Stock exhibits some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Mag. shows fading and discoloration, now retaining an off-white exterior. (23-6338/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
