Manufactured in 1916. This early 5-digit serial number 1911 features a 5" barrel, with period correct iron sights. Left side of the slide is stamped "PATENTED APR.20 1897 SEPT, 9 1902 DEC, 19 1905 FEB, 14 1911" and "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG CO. HARTFORD, CT U.S.A." with the Rampant Colt logo at the rear. Right side of the frame is stamped "GOVERNMENT MODEL / C 44681", and "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 45" on the slide. The base of the safety grip is stamped "9108". Features period correct lanyard loop and diamond checkered walnut grip panels. Includes an 8 round magazine. A nice edition to any Colt collection! CALIBER: 45 ACP. S/N: C44681. CONDITION
Retains 80% finish showing wear near the muzzle and rear of the grip. Light pitting on the frame, slide and grip safety. Grips show very light wear. Light frost on the bore and good mechanics.
