MILITARY RIFLE. CAL. 30-06. S# 624593. Bbl. 24". The replacement bbl. is marked on the right side, "S-A-9-49". Throat gauges are 4.0. Muzzle gauges are 5.0. T105E1 aperture rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. Sight blade enhanced with white. All major part markings are "SA", except for the bolt, which is "HRA". Walnut stock set. The replacement buttstock is marked on the left side of the butt, "R.R.A.", indicating an overhaul at Red River Arsenal. Boxed "P" proof under grip. Trap buttplate. Late type green web sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1 - 8 Rd. clip. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish with moderate wear and handling marks. Front handguard has a crack at the top rear and a notable gouge at the bottom left. Metal retains 60% of its original worn, parkerized finish. Fair, worn bore; turning dark in the grooves.
