20th Anniversary ECWSF Custom Knife
This custom knife was auctioned at our 20th Anniversary Banquet in 2011. The proceeds were donated to Camp Compass. Eastern Chapter Life Member Dallas Strait was the high bidder at $10,000 and donated it back to the Chapter to auction again! Glen Pyne, another ECWSF Life Member, was the second round high bidder at $7,000! That’s right, this knife provided a total of $17,000 in funding for Camp Compass in 2011.
This same knife has been donated back for our 25th Anniversary Celebration to raise money for the last domestic sheep allotment buy-out in the native core Bighorn Sheep area of Wyoming!!! This collaborative effort has taken 19 years and with your help will soon reach a successful conclusion!
This custom knife was built by John R. Johnson of JRJ Knives in New Buffalo, PA. Only the finest materials available go into a JRJ custom knife. The expert craftsmanship, attention to detail and intricate handwork are what separates their knives from other knife makers. RJR knives are built one at a time to be strong, functional and so each knife has it's own personality and distinct look. This one-of-a-kind custom example of the knife maker’s art is 9” overall with a 4” blade engraved “Eastern Chapter W.S.F. February 2011 20th Anniversary 1 of 1”. The handle is constructed of deer antler and curly maple with a solid brass hand guard. The custom leather sheath includes a snakeskin accent panel.
