SCOPE, WOODEN BOX AND ACCESSORIES. Cal. 303 Brit. S# B36193. Standard configuration as altered by Holland & Holland (S51 stamp on bottom of stock). Action has had MKI rear sight altered with removal of battle aperture, scope bases fitted and stamped "T". Left side of stock socket stamped "M47C"(BSA), "1944", SN and "TR". All numbers match including magazine. Front portion of stock also has matching number along with broad arrow stamp. Buttstock with zinc buttplate has "S51" stamp on bottom and raised comb affixed with steel screws. Top of stock behind action stamped "20071" matching scope. No. 32 MKIII scope with original brown leather cover has crosshair and post reticle and is serial numbered 20071. Heavy mount with correct matching numbers on right side of rings stamped with this rifles serial number on left. Unmarked brown leather sling is installed on rifle. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in its green painted wooden box which contains an array of accessories including OD painted metal box for scope (label in lid does not match rifle or scope numbers). MKII(S) telescope with leather binding(correct, as outlined on contents label) with strap. A cloth cartridge bandolier with stripper clips, spare magazine, cleaning kit, small box with scope adjustment tool, another metal box with broken case extractor and "ABL 1951" combination jackknife, can opener and fid. A lensatic compass in leather case, some cleaning patches, and a spike bayonet in case your sniping attempts were unsuccessful. CONDITION: very fine showing light use. Metal parts retaining a considerable amount of their renewed black lacquer after conversion. Stocks have some marks and compressions in their original finish. Fine shiny bore with some erosion at breech end. Mechanically smooth. Scope is very fine retaining nearly all of its lacquer finish with some scratches on adjustment turrets. Other accessories are very good to fine. Telescope is optically clear. Exterior of box shows most original paint with some overpainting. Equipment label is good. Carrying straps are replaced.
