EXTREMELY RARE DREYSE MODEL 1910 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.

Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 3007. Bbl. 5 1/4". Mfg. 1912-1915 w/ production estimates varying between 500 & 1,000 units. Many unusual features to include latch pin disassembly w/ only screws appearing to be for grips. Border checkered horn (most references state hard rubber yet bright light from back indicates horn) w/ Dreyse logo in oval at tops. Back of grips have "Stan" scratched at top of each plus right grip w/ lg. 3 at mid point. Blow back operation w/ extremely heavy recoil spring & unique lever release on slide / breech block allowing view of chamber. Most examples appear numbered under 1500. Matching numbered grip frame, upper receiver, breech block, top lever, bbl. & spring retainer (07 only; all other components "3007"). Crown N proofed w/ no military or police markings. Matte rust blue. Schmeisser designed for German military or police; model failed because company unable to keep up w/ demand, so very few exist. Bottom left rear of frame has lanyard loop & corresponding relief in grip. Upper rear left side of receiver has 2 line legend plus "DREYSE" above port on right. Extremely scarce model that would be welcome addition to any advanced collection. MAGS: 1 proper 8 rd. w/ 6 viewing holes & base numbered 3009. Sides of body folded over base plus pin at lower rear corner. Front lip of base approx. half main width of base. Pronounced vertical rub marks yet extremely smooth insertion & removal. CONDITION: very good finish w/ thinning on bottom of upper receiver forward of grip frame & faint beginning patina tone in grip area. Cocking ears around rear sight & some high points at front of slide assembly exhibit thinning finish. Main portion of upper receiver w/ slight high edge thinning. Good plus grips w/ hand wear showing mostly on bottom of right & finger size area at mid point of front edge on left along w/ sm. chip by grip screw. Near excellent bore. (22-118/NW).
