EXTREMELY SCARCE SMITH & WESSON 32
SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL CHAMBERED IN .32 AUTO. Cal. 32 Auto. S# 509. Bbl 3 1/2". 1 of only 957 Model 1913 pistols manufactured by Smith & Wesson chambered in the .32 Auto cartridge. The left side of the barrel is stamped "SMITH & WESSON", with the right side bearing the caliber designation "32 AUTO. CTG", and with Smith & Wesson's 2 line address across the top. Left side of frame bears the Smith & Wesson trademark logo, with "MADE IN U.S.A." on the right. Front grip strap is stamped with the 3 digit serial number "509". Metal components exhibit a blued finish, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece Smith & Wesson silver medallion smooth wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, as well as on the interior of the grips. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting moderate wear on the left side of the slide, some scattered spots of mild wear, as well as some scattered spots of mild surface oxidation overall, with more moderate surface oxidation on the grip straps. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some mild superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. A nice example of an extremely scarce Smith & Wesson 32 semi-automatic pistol. (23-2656/MLW). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
