NO. 1, 1ST ISSUE REVOLVER. Cal. 22. S# 1872. Standard configuration, 3.2" barrel, one line address, patent marked cylinder, brass frame, varnished rosewood grips, all silver plated. Engraved presentation is found on backstrap and left side of frame: "Presented to E P Jacobs by William Crowell Nov. 25, 1858". Hammer has a unique hinged spur. CONDITION: very good to fine overall, all original, matching serial numbers and assembly markings, sharp edges, 80-90% original silver finish on barrel and frame, cylinder has 10-20% silver with pitting. Hammer has hinged alteration or repair that was professionally performed during time of use. Grips retain much of their factory varnish with moderate to heavy edge wear.
