PISTOL WITH CASE & ACCESSORIES. Cal. 7.63mm. S# 668247. Bbl. 3 7/8". High condition C96 Small Ring Bolo semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser after the conclusion of the Great War. The faceted chamber is marked with Mauser's standard 3-line address over the top flat, with a double Crowned "U" proof stamped on the left quarter flat, and the S# marked on the left flat. Left side of frame's panel is marked with the Mauser banner trademark logo, with "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/ OBERNDORF A.NECKAR" marked on the right. Frame, bbl./bbl. extension, and floorplate exhibit a blue finish, with some smaller components including the trigger, safety lever, extractor, rear sight slide, and bolt stop exhibiting a nitre blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Standard blade front sight and V-notch rear sight graduated 50-1000. All numbers are matching and include the frame, lock frame, locking block, hammer, bbl./bbl. extension, bolt stop, bolt, floorplate, as well as the grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Emmebi brown leather case with brass fittings containing a wood stock holster, cleaning rod, as well as a 1996 dated C96 operators manual. Stock has been sanded and revarnished, with metal components exhibiting a reapplied nitre blue finish overall. Stock lug has been renumbered to match. This example is also accompanied by 1 50-rd. box (approximately 45-50 rds. remaining) of Remington .30 Mauser 85 grain M.C. bullet ammunition, 1 reproduction box of DWM ammunition containing 18 "K/ B" headstamped ammunition and 10 "D.M./ K." headstamped ammunition, 1 25-rd box of "SBP" headstamped ammunition, 1 25-rd. box of Fiocchi ammunition, as well as 4 10-rd. stripper clips of 7.63mm Mauser ammunition. CONDITION: major metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of light to mild edge wear that show through to gray patina, some small spots of light wear and thinning, some superficial handling marks, as well some some areas of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Nitre blue components exhibit varying degrees of wear, with worn areas retaining a gray patina and scattered spots of age related discoloration. Bolt exhibits some spots of cleaned oxidation, as well as areas of darker age related discoloration. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit a few scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise are very good overall. Leather case is excellent overall. Stock is excellent, as refurbished, with areas of pitting present beneath the bluing on the hardware. Ammunition shows age related discoloration, but otherwise appears serviceable.
