REVOLVER. Cal. 22, S# 49317. This is a standard Smith & Wesson Model 1, second issue with 3.2" barrel silver and blue finish, mounted with varnished rosewood on back strap is name "Chas Daleske". This revolver was made in 1864 and searching the databases for Civil War soldiers, no Daleske surname turns up. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: file of research, service records. CONDITION: very good overall, complete matching serial numbers and assembly marks, retaining most of the silver plate on frame and grip strap, traces of blue on barrel in protected areas, mechanically functional, discernible rifled bore.
