Factory engraved and presentation inscribed Marlin Model 1895 lever action rifle in .45-70 Gov. caliber, S/N 22053489. The left side of the receiver is inscribed “Presented to Ivan Hart by the Marlin Firearms Co., 1981”. This rifle isstocked in deluxe burl wood by the factory and the receiver is nicely scroll engraved signed with fancy “R” initial. Ivan Hart received this rifle for his best of show winning display at the Sahara Antique Arms Show in 1981. Hart was the iconiccollector of lever actions in the west during the 50s to the 1990s. This rifle was gifted to his friend Evy Morgan who kept it until his entering to a convalescent home. Est.: $1,500-$3,000
