Febiger Arms Co., New Orleans, Model 1 pump action rifle, .22 short caliber, 24” round barrel, S/N 1380, in overall very good condition showing a dark plum brown patina to metal surfaces, good bore, crisp action, one extra magazine, goodmarkings and overall good wood stocks. Consignor’s notes indicate his research that gun was manufactured by the Baker Gun Co. who took over the Febiger patent and changed the name to Batavia, making the gun under this name untilabout 1910-12 when Savage Arms Co. brought suit against them for patent infringement. The only one of these this cataloger has seen. (C&R). Est.: $600-$1,200.
