Fine Mid-18th century French SxS flintlock pistol with ornate and hallmarked silver mountings. The center of the lock shows fancy cypher or letters E or L with fancy X 3 and the barrel is marked in gold damascenedletters “Cannon A Tordu”. The pistol measures 14 5/8” overall with 8 ½” barrels of .62 caliber smoothbore. The pistol remains in very good plus original condition showing 60%-80% original blue on the barrels going to patina and dulling slightly with 90% plus fancy gold damascened decoration. The locks and small parts are completely original with uncleaned brown patina showing smooth natural surface. The stock is very good plus alsowith minor aging and slight wear at the high points of carving located at wrist and fore end. The ornate silver mounts are well defined and not “Rubbed” out. There is a ultra-small French silver hallmark on theright stirrup to butt cap. Gold touch holes with original ramrod. A superior example of a double flintlock pistol. (Antique) Est.: $3,500-$5,000.

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
