Fine Quality Double Barrel 12GA Box Lock Shotgun signed in gold “Puccinelli I.A.B” and marked “nickel-chrome-steel-nitro proved” with 28” barrels, single trigger, auto ejector, select checkered burl walnut stock with checkered buttplate, finely polished with excellent blue and case hardened finish, hand filed raised and non-vent rib, right barrel is choked cylinder and the left barrel improved cylinder. Measures 13 ¾” to the end of checkered butt. The condition isfine to near excellent and shows a full complement of Italian proofs of modern age for full length 2 ¾” shells. Only information we can determine is that Puccinelli acted as the importer and had several Italian firms job out his orders on acustom basis. Pucinelli was a salesman for Perazzi and was well respected by shotgun aficionados in S. Cal. For his knowledge. Robert Petersen is known to have ordered a high grade small bore of this type.
