Framed and matted antique Japanese woodblock print; approximately 23” x 17” overall showing some discoloration and fading from age; finely accomplished. Accompanied by an e-mail from Gloria Garaventa, Japanese ArtConsultant, who dates the woodblock ca. 1803 and notes it is signed by artist Utamaro (Kitagawa Utamaro, died 1806); entitled “Numazu (place name, one of the 53 stations of the Tokaido Road) and in the series Bijinichidal gojusan tsugi (Fifty-three Stations in the Life of a Beauty). Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
