Framed original oil on canvas by noted artist Russ Vickers (1923-1997) entitled “Contact with the Renegades”, approximately 20” x 40” of picture and approximately 30” x 49” overall with frame. Russ Vickers was born in Paris, TX, the son of a horse trader. He served this country as a U.S. Marine during WW II and later in the Korean War, he was a combat artist. After the War, he worked as a technical illustrator. He began showing his paintings in the early 1970’s and those offerings are still highly valued by today’s Western collectors. Several of his paintings were used in the opening and closing credits of John Wayne’s Movie “Chisum”. Est.: $10,000-$15,000.

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
