From the Joe Musso collection. French infantry shako used by the modern army for ceremonies. Very well made, leather crown, & visor, inside of crown marked "Association Napoleonienne 97 rue Louis Duflos Boulogne/Mer" with telephone number. Brass plate with Infantry horn. Dress belt, no buckle, five Mexican army shako pom-pom's, most likely used in the John Wayne movie "the Alamo" as Joe Musso worked on the set, and was a huge collector of movie memorabilia. French shako pom-pom's, and horse hair plume. French M1825 Officers dragoon helmet. Second Empire tall "a la Minerve". Brass metal shell with brass fittings. Tall Cimier (Crest) of officers grade with beautiful detail with the typical black horsehair tail. Medusa Head and "Palmette" design are also typical to this model. A flaming grenade in its center. The chin scales, liner, bosses, and front plate are missing. Needs restoration. Very good condition with no dents.
