Full mounted Koto period katana (Long sword) in Mino school style and circa 1450-1500s with a 26 ½” blade. In near fine condition showing an old polish with just minor openings to the lamination and minorimperfections. Full temper visible around the tip and at least very good plus for its great age. Fine quality mountings with fancy decorated raised lacquer work scabbard ornate silver and soft metal mountings with fancydecorated tsuba. The mountings are for a samurai of rank and date 18th-19th century. The mountings are very good plus to almost fine. Rarely are early long swords found of this quality with exceptional mountings.Est.: $3,000-$6,000
