#100 Doouble barrel rifle marked G.L. Kingsley, Red Bluff, California on the BBL. From the collection of Larry Shelton, author, or California Gunsmith book, and consigned by his estate. 48-1/2" overall w/ 31" BBLs of approx. 36 cal., both BBLs. Fine to near excellent original condition w/ 90% plus brown and case hardened finishes. Also most original colors on T.G. and butt plate. Double set triggers, peep sight. Stock very good plus and would be graded almost fine excellent. Stress crack at bottom right toe that extends to left side (tight, no danger of loss). The hammers do not consistently release with trigger pull. Two correct style rods, possibly the originals. Pictured on page 147 of "California Gunsmiths." A handful of double rifles known by this gold rush area maker. Shelton states "rifle" was made by L.C. Kensey while operating Kingsley's gun shop.
Condition is NRA Fine
